Nature Cross

This one was a quick and simple project and for a really good cause as well. Our class, this semester got together in pairs to come up with different cross designs for Alzheimer's patients. My friend Alexandra and I, both huge nature lovers, decided to do a more natural cross. We used just a little bit of paint on it before covering the rest with moss and frayed rope. It's a beautiful cross and I hope everyone enjoys it!

Scratchboard Project

I know, I know, not a really fancy title. This project hit most to home for me, due to the fact that before the semester began I had lost my best friend, my dog Montana. So upon hearing about this scratchboard project, I knew IMMEDIATELY what I was going to do. Both I, and my family love this piece and it's a way of capturing all the fond memories of this lovable mutt into one single piece.

Patterns and Colors

This is the second part of the design project my class did this semester. This one was slightly less free reigned since we had to follow Elements of Principle and Design. Upon doing this, I figured out that I have a real taste for patterns, even though some of the patterns were more tedious than others to fill up. My absolute favorite thing to work with on this were Sharpie brush markers I had bought. Seriously, everyone should try those out they're amazing!

Throwback to Hyrulian Days

This right here is among the first part of a two part project that I performed for my Design class this semester. On one board we were supposed to show our usage of colors via paint medium. I chose to outlay my board in a representation of Legend of Zelda. Starting with the Triforce as my focal point and working my way outwards with the life heats and different map/scenery/level designs. I really love how this one turned out, the challenge was trying to keep each piece fresh with a new design so it didn't look TOO repetitive. All in all this was fun to do!
